Johanna Musco, DDS — Advanced General & Implant Dentistry

Dr. Johanna Musco brings two things to every patient at GD Dentistry: rigorous training from one of the nation’s top dental programs, and a career-long habit of putting people first — often for free, in communities that need it most.

Education and Training

Dr. Musco began her advanced training at El Colegio Odontológico Colombiano in Bogotá, Colombia, where she earned her D.D.S. degree. She then completed three years of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Columbia University. This specialty program included multidisciplinary training in comprehensive care, advanced implant training, Invisalign certification, and expertise in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry.

A Heart for Service

Giving back has always been Dr. Musco’s passion. While in Colombia, she volunteered in oral health campaigns. She has participated in multiple dental missions in Haiti and, for five years, has volunteered in Connecticut providing free dental care through Mission of Mercy and the Give Kids a Smile Foundation.

That same spirit shapes how she practices every day: patients who are anxious, embarrassed about their teeth, or overwhelmed by treatment decisions find in Dr. Musco a doctor who listens first and never rushes.

Dr. Musco’s Columbia implant training and multidisciplinary background make her a natural fit for GD Dentistry’s comprehensive model of care. She works closely with our surgical team on implant cases — from treatment planning with 3D CBCT imaging through the final restorations crafted in our in-house lab — and provides cosmetic and Invisalign care for patients perfecting their smiles. Her goal for every patient is the same: a healthy mouth, a confident smile, and a plan that makes sense for real life.
